Hi, I’m Dr. Vicky — a board-certified pediatrician and NICU doc.
I’ve spent over a decade at the bedside: caring for tiny preemies, babies with open heart surgeries, walking with families through diagnoses, recoveries, losses, joyful milestones, and every kind of uncertain in-between. I’ve also seen (and smelled) some truly unspeakable things in diapers.
Babies, Explained is what I’d tell you if we were texting — about pregnancy, postpartum, the NICU, breastfeeding, baby care, and what it’s like to get through it when you’re lonely, exhausted, scared, or wondering if everyone else knows something you don’t.
Each week, you’ll get something useful:
– weekly news roundups
– a research breakdown
– a checklist or prep list
– answers to the things you’re too nervous to Google
– the occasional story from the bedside
I’ll always be clear about what’s known, what’s science-based, and what actually matters. This isn’t individual medical advice; it’s what I’d drop in the group chat.
